When Dr Nageena was just 11 years of age she had her first experience in the Chiropractic profession.
This initial exposure to the miracle of Chiropractic occurred when she witnessed her mother’s 25-year history of weekly migraines resolve after adjustments to her neck.
Dr Nageena started dedicating her life to acquiring that ‘magic in her hands’
She immediately began reading biology and human anatomy books to develop these skills.
Dr Nageena discovered that specialist training and a Masters's level education was the minimum requirement to become a qualified Doctor of Chiropractic. Ever determined, she continued her studies and earned an unconditional offer to the Anglo-European European College of Chiropractic (AECC), UK. Dr Nageena excelled in her education and graduated in 2006 with ‘Best All-round Student’ awards and the honorable ‘Students’ Student Award’.
During her University training, Dr Nageena was an Academic Liaison Officer for her Student Union, this enabled her to ensure the highest level of education was delivered and maintained. She also was selected for the role of Head Delegate for the World Congress of Chiropractic Students (WCCS) where she represented the AECC at RMIT, Melbourne, Australia.
Dr Nageena excelled in her education and graduated in 2006 from AECC with awards of ‘Best All-round Student’, along with the honorable ‘Students’ Student Award. She achieved her Post Graduate Certificate in Clinical Proficiency in 2007.
Dr Nageena has taken great pleasure in providing chiropractic care to all ages, including babies and children (have a read here about why this is important) in her practices in the UK and since 2017 in the UAE. Her special interest is in neuro-developmental delays and neuro-behavioural disorders.
It was through her personal experiences leading to the untimely deaths of her two babies in 2011 and 2016, to neuro-metabolic disease, that she developed a deep passion for helping all children, especially those with neurobehavioral, learning difficulties as well as neurodevelopmental delays. Dr. Nageena has successfully become the first cohort to become certified in the Melillo Method TM in 2020, she has helped and continues to help many children in clinical practice. She has rigorously and continues to study to aid her practice and care of patients.
Dr. Nageena has been a member of the Emirates Chiropractic Association (ECA) board since 2019 as Secretary, she has been integral in helping improve the professional relationships with Health Authorities through her work with DHA Health Committee.
In her elected role in January 2021 - January 2023, she served as the President of the Emirates Chiropractic Association (ECA) where she pushed for pragmatic and impactful change across all levels of the Health sector.
Dr Nageena remains active as a board member and strives to promote Chiropractic Care in the UAE and surrounding regions with an approach of integrative and collaborative healthcare.
